  • Byron C Day

Hi, my name is Byron from Chicago. I’ve been a Christian since I was in my early 20’s. I’m 48 now, but I’ve never been clear on what to tithe on, the gross or the net. Every time I’ve asked this question of any leaders in the church, they would laugh as if to say “how could you ask THAT question, what, you don’t know?” Uhhh, excuse me, no I don’t. Can someone help me? Please.

My husband decided to do it before tax. He felt dishonest doing it after giving “Caesar” what he was due. He felt that God should get His due first and then Caesar.

Thanks Allison, this helps. Your response is confirmation of something I heard from the broadcast today.
